Bring your adventurous attitude and wander around the bustling Mercado Bazurto where we’ll gather fresh ingredients with a local chef before heading to her restaurant for a hands-on cooking lesson!

Outside the walls of the old city, you'll visit a women’s collective that empowers women to generate income by learning how to make gorgeous bowls and coasters from old newspapers and magazines.

Before leaving Colombia, you'll splash through glistening Caribbean waters and soak in the sun while cruising on a private boat tour. You'll return home sun-kissed and refreshed!

Day 1

Hello Cartagena!

Check in to the hotel located inside the vibrant Walled City of Cartagena. You’ll have time to freshen up, then we’ll head out to for cocktails to have drinks on the roof before we head out to dinner.

Dinner will be at a trendy restaurant inside a women's prison that raises money for the rehabilitation of its inmates. The restaurant is staffed by former inmates.

Day 2

We’ll have breakfast in the hotel and head out to the neighborhood of Getsemani for a unique coffee tasting experience. Afterwards, we’ll hit the calle and explore the old city of Cartagena on a street food tour. You’ll get to sample local tropical fruits, all the deep fried goodness, and even something sweet. After the tour, we’ll tune in to the rhythms of the locals with a salsa and champeta lesson.

Day 3

This morning we’ll head out about an hour away from the city for a local mud bath that is said to have healing properties. You’ll rinse off in a local lagoon and we’ll head to the beach for a seaside lunch.

In the evening we’ll visit a women’s collective that empowers women to generate income by learning how to make gorgeous bowls and coasters from old newspapers and magazines.

Day 4

We’ll start today off with a visit to the bustling Mercado Bazurto with a local chef where we’ll gather ingredients like freshly caught fish* and locally grown veggies before we head back to her restaurant for a hands-on cooking class. We’ll prepare and enjoy a 3-course meal. You don’t need any cooking experience to participate and you’ll go home with the recipes afterwards.

Day 5

After breakfast, we’ll head out on a private boat to indulge in some seaside bliss. We’ll have lunch on the beach and you’ll have some free time before our last group dinner together.

Accommodations: This trip will include 4 shared rooms. If you sign up with someone else, you will be paired up with that person. Otherwise, you will be assigned a roomie of the same gender. We will put you and your roomie in contact before the trip! More details regarding accommodation will be shared upon purchase of the trip.

Pricing: The trip is priced at $2299 per person for 2024 bookings. To reserve your spot, a $500 deposit per person is required. Those opting for a single room will incur an additional $900 supplement, payable at the time of sign-up. The final payment is due no later than 45 days prior to departure, and all payments must be made by credit card.
