Next, we journey to the scenic Viñales Valley, known for its traditional tobacco farms. Here, you'll have the chance to delve into the art of cigar making with local experts, all while enjoying the breathtaking backdrop of the lush green countryside and towering limestone cliffs.

As the sun burns high in the tropical sky, we'll set off to Cuba's pristine beaches. Sink your toes into the warm sand, let the azure waves tickle your feet, and enjoy the Caribbean sun. Bring your favorite book or just relax.

And did you really visit Cuba if you don’t take a tour in a classic American convertible? Ride down the winding streets with the wind in your hair and admire the architecture.

But that's not all! We have even more delights, surprises, and unique Cuban experiences up our sleeves. So join us, as we celebrate not just Jennifer's birthday, but also life, laughter, and friendship in this tropical paradise.

Day 1

Your Cuba adventure begins the moment you land, with a private airport pickup transporting you directly to your charming boutique accommodation, known locally as a casa particular.

Upon checking in, just like any conventional hotel, you'll have ample time to refresh, unwind and soak in the vibrant surroundings before the festivities begin.

We’ll start with a rooftop cocktail class, where the skyline serves as the perfect backdrop. Learn the nuances of creating Cuban classics like the Mojito, Negrón, and Daiquirí, under the guidance of a local mixology guru.

In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome dinner at our chic hotel's in-house restaurant. You’ll have a chance to mingle with fellow travelers and fuel the anticipation for the exciting journey ahead!

After a hearty breakfast at our casa, we'll set off for a journey through the heart of Old Havana. Guided by a local professor, you'll walk the city's winding streets, each turn revealing diverse architecture that tells a story of the city's rich heritage and culture.

After the walking tour, it's time to indulge your palate. We're heading up to a modern, privately-owned rooftop restaurant adorned with vibrant decor. Here, you'll savor a contemporary take on classic Cuban dishes, accompanied by an eclectic mix of cocktails.

After lunch, we’re heading out for a classic convertible tour! We'll cruise down the iconic malecón and other landmark spots, letting the Caribbean breeze caress our faces. There will be ample opportunities to stop and snap photos. After the ride, you'll be dropped back at the accommodation for some well-deserved downtime.

As the sun sets, we'll gear up for a unique culinary and artistic experience at Fabrica de Arte Cubana (FAC). A restaurant nestled within this avant-garde art space serves as our dinner venue. Accommodations: Your accommodation is a design-forward boutique hotel, situated within a meticulously restored 1920s building. This unique establishment breathes new life into the grandeur of yesteryears, offering a peek into the city's golden age.

This architectural marvel is the result of a creative collaboration between Cuban architects, designers, and artists, aiming to construct a space that resonates with the unique essence of Havana.

Furnished with authentic 1950s pieces, the hotel is a stylistic homage to the past, juxtaposed with a lush landscaping project. Developed in collaboration with local farmers, this verdant setting creates a tropical environment, providing the opulence of a luxury hotel with a distinctly Cuban character.

U.S Citizens Traveling to Cuba: This trip is permitted through the "support for the Cuban” people general license category authorized by the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control. This itinerary is intended to provide a cultural experience and while contributing to the local economy.

Cuban Tourist Card aka a Cuban Visa: A Cuban visa and a Cuban Tourist Card are two different things, but the terms are used interchangeably. Here we will refer to it as a Cuban Tourist Card.

You can purchase your Tourist Card at the kiosk or check-in counter at the airport terminal before your flight to Cuba. They will ask for your reason for travel, and payment can be made by debit/credit card. Cost ranges from $50-$100.

You can also order your visa online and have it delivered to your home before the trip. I recommend www.cubavisaservices.com. They charge $85.

Health Insurance: Cuban authorities require proof of health insurance upon entering the country. Don't worry though, this is already taken care of because the cost of this insurance is now included in your flight ticket price.

Travel Insurance: Apart from health insurance (which your flight ticket's got covered), you also need travel insurance. Think of it as your safety net if things get tricky, covering stuff like cancelled flights or delayed baggage.

Travel insurance isn't just a good-to-have, it's a must-have, and it's mandatory for all travelers. Our top pick is World Nomads.

What to expect in Cuba: While we try our best to stick to the itinerary, traveling in Cuba requires flexibility and changes to accommodation, transportation, and activities may occur. Cuban infrastructure has not been maintained according to western standards, hot water may be minimal, wifi connection may be slow and the general pacing is slow but vibrant. Bring your sense of adventure and enjoy the moment!

Pricing: The trip cost is $1999 per person. A $500 deposit per person is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance can be paid in two installments with the final payment due no later than 45 days prior to departure. All payments must be made by credit card.
